QUARTERBACK
Peyton Manning (triceps)
———Brock Osweiler
———Zac Dysert

*Manning is 37 this year, and his health continues to be a concern. He had a hard time gripping and throwing the ball in the playoffs last year. That said, his improved receiver corps should keep his value high
*Osweiler has shown vast improvements in camp this year. The strong-armed second year man is still the QB of the future here

RUNNING BACK
Ronnie Hillman
———Montee Ball (GLB)
———Knowshon Moreno (3DB)
———CJ Anderson

*Hillman is still atop the depth chart after cuts but the Broncos continue to emphasize a heavy committee attack.
*Speculation is that Moreno will end up playing a lot of third downs, mainly due to Hillman’s and Montee Ball’s shortcomings in pass protection.
*Montee Ball projects best as a bellcow back, with Hillman as more of a change-of-pace.
*This is a messy situation that will require heavy monitoring.

WIDE RECEIVER
LWR Demaryius Thomas
———Andre Caldwell

SWR Wes Welker (WR3)
———Eric Decker

RWR Eric Decker
———Trindon Holliday

*If all three of the top wideouts are healthy, the Broncos will employ a ton of three-WR sets
*Caldwell has survived cuts but shouldn’t see much in the passing game unless one of the top three wideouts goes down.

TIGHT END
Julius Thomas
———Joel Dreessen (knee – questionable for Week 1)
———Jacob Tamme
———Virgil Green

*Thomas has been getting first-team reps with Dreessen sidelined, and he is likely to grab the job
*The role of the tight end in the receiving game will be severely reduced with the arrival of Welker; even if Thomas gets the starting job, he is essentially undraftable as even a TE2

KICKER
Matt Prater

*Prater has a tremendous leg and no threats to his job whatsoever
