QUARTERBACK
Terrelle Pryor
———Matt Flynn
———Matt McGloin

*It now looks like Pryor has won the QB competition although Dennis Allen won’t say. Pryor is incredibly raw, has terrible mechanics and looked absolutely awful in the Raiders’ pre-season finale. Despite the likelihood of the Raiders playing from behind and throwing a ton this year, he’s a risky play at best.
*Flynn’s lack of physical tools cost him a starting job that was gift-wrapped to him. Regardless, he’s still the #2 guy.
*UDFA McGloin (who Jay Glazer believes may be the best QB on the roster) outplayed Wilson this off-season and ended up making the team over him. Regardless, Wilson ends up being a bad waste of money and a 4th rounder but is sure to land elsewhere.

RUNNING BACK
Darren McFadden (3DB, GLB)
———Rashad Jennings (GLB)
———Marcel Reece
———Jeremy Stewart

*Best guess is that Rashad Jennings is the handcuff to own for McFadden but there’s a definite possibility that Reece ends up the guy should it actually happen.
*Supposedly McFadden is healthy and confident enough in himself that he’s waiting until after the season to talk contract. Seems like the same story every year but it’s still worth noting that he’s confident.

WIDE RECEIVER
LWR Denarius Moore
———Jacoby Ford (knee)
———Brice Butler

RWR Rod Streater
———Juron Criner
———Andre Holmes (suspended)

*Moore has a ton of talent but the Raiders’ issues at QB are very likely to hamper him this season.
*Jacoby Ford should be the team’s 3rd WR but he’s hurt (again) and can never seem to stay healthy.
*In theory, the Raiders will be playing from behind a good deal and forced to pass so it’s worth monitoring their targets.
*WR/KR Josh Cribbs was expected to make the team but was never healthy.

TIGHT END
David Ausberry (shoulder – questionable for Week 1)
———Jeron Mastrud
———Mychal Rivera
———Nick Kasa

*Yeah, the Raiders TE situation is that bad. Ausberry looks like the starter but he’s nothing special and backed up by a bunch of rookies and journeymen.
*The Raiders are hopeful that Ausberry will be ready for Week 1 but if not, it may be the vet Mastrud who gets the start over rookies Rivera and Kasa. It’s a situation to avoid regardless.

KICKER
Sebastian Janikowski

*The Polish Cannon just signed a contract extension and isn’t going anywhere.
